Meet Metcal Eastern RSM Ed Zamborsky

Ed Zamborsky is Metcal's Eastern Regional Sales Manager, as well as a Master Applications Engineer. Ed visits customers throughout North and South America helping them evaluate new and complicated PCB assembly and other difficult applications. 

Ed Zamborsky.pngHis expertise includes hand soldering, convection and conduction reflow techniques, array rework, fluid dispensing equipment, and fume extraction. In addition to his sales and customer support role, Ed has provided his expertise on a global basis and serves as one of Metcal's technology advisors to the product development group.

Ed has authored many articles, and has presented many papers on topics such as; Low Volume SMT Assembly, Solder Fume Extraction, SMT Rework, BGA Rework, Lead Free Hand Soldering, Lead Free Visual Inspection and Lead Free Array Rework. Ed is also on CircuitNet's Expert Panel. 

Ed's personal life is just as interesting. Before his illustrious career in electronics assembly, he was a first responder on 9/11 with the Yonkers Auxiliary Police Department.  He currently lives in Central Florida. His older son is a senior at The University of Chicago majoring in Mathematics and his younger son is a competitive dancer and singer.
